2010
South Central
Wisconsin Archers
Membership Information
2010 Membership runs from January 1, 2010 to
December 31, 2010

To become a member a membership form must be filled out and signed; stating they have read and agree with the terms, conditions, and basic beliefs included in this 2010 South Central Wisconsin Archers Membership Pack and a copy will be given for the member to keep.

Both single and family memberships require 4 hours of work. Of those 4 hours, at least 2 hours are suggested to be worked at the club’s tournaments.   Each member will get a membership card and on the back of the card will be slots to fill in to track work hours. Fill in time and date and brief description of what work was preformed and then have a board member sign. Each member is responsible for keeping track of their hours worked and having those hours signed for.  Members will have the responsibility to turn in work hour cards when signing up for membership the following year or can give the card to the membership chairman to keep and a receipt will be given for proof if needed in the future.

Single or Family Membership Information
Membership fees are based on the previous year’s work hours. A total of $10.00 for each hour not met of the 4 hours required will be added to the membership fee for that person or family.

(Example: If someone has a single membership and in 2010 they only work 3 hours then when he/she pays for their 2010 membership it would be Base- single membership fee + $10 for that one hour of required time that was not met.)

YOUTH SPONSOR MEMBERSHIP
INTENT: The intent of the Sponsor membership is to attract young members whose parents or guardian does not desire to be members of the South Central Wisconsin Archers. These young members could be relation (i.e. niece or nephew), neighbors, co-workers, sons or daughters friend, etc. There is no financial membership fee. The Youth member will trade work hours for their membership fee (4 hours =membership)
PRACTICE: Any current member (the sponsor) can provide and avenue for these young people to join the club by accepting the responsibility for their actions on the premises, as well as assuring they follow and abide to the club's policies and regulations. Sponsors will not include the Youth Member as part of their membership. The Youth Member will have their own hours to perform at the club to keep their membership active. A Youth Sponsor Member does not have key privileges under the age of 16.
TERMS; The Youth Member must pay for a regular membership when they reach the age of 18 or if 18 and still in high school then the regular membership would be needed the year after graduation from high school. If the Youth Member does not perform the required work hours during a calendar year, then they must pay for the regular membership to retain membership with the club.
If the Youth Member does not abide by the club policies and regulations, they will not be permitted to remain in the club, but the removal of their membership does not impact the Sponsors membership.

Work hours promote responsibility in the organization and teach them what efforts are necessary to operate the club.
Working Incentive Program:

There will be a raffle at the annual banquet in April 2010. Those members who completed any of the items below in the prior year will have their name entered in a drawing. Prizes being drawn for will be decided by the membership committee at the end of 2010 and consideration will be taken on how much activity we had and how the club is doing at that time.

Your name is entered if:
1. You have encouraged a new member to join and they mark you down as "referred by" on membership form (A new member can only write down one member in the referred by on the membership form).
2. You worked the required 4 hours and have hours signed for on your membership card.
3. For every additional 4 hours worked your name will be entered again. Additional cards will be available if you run out of cards to keep track of your hours. Contact any Board Member or Officer for more information on work that is needed. Our newsletter will also have information on current needs and events. This club is owned and managed by all of its members. Many hours are put in to support the leagues, tournaments and maintenance of the outdoor/indoor ranges. Please help support this club and keep it strong.

Clarification on work hours example if Father, Mother and teenager all come down to clean the indoor range and spend 2 hours doing so. Work hours are entered for that family membership is 2 hours not 6 hours as one may think, the two hours could  be earned if one of them worked alone, this is intended for the sake of keeping work hours more equal when comparing single and family memberships.
